Used as internal release agent in the HDC curing system of ethylene acrylate copolymer, and the normal dosage is 0.5phr. Increasing SPchem 18D can result in improvement in scorch safety, slight reduction in cure rate and cure state. Compression set and tensile strength will be negatively influenced but these properties are normally recovered after post-cure.
If SPchem 18D is used as retarder to improve scorch safety, the recommendation is to add 0.25phr increments.
It can bring vulcanizate with better properties after heat aging.
